The desire to be a visual artist was sparked when my sister gave me a Kodak instamatic camera. That got me looking at images and wanting to make my own compositions. While pursuing a career in nursing, I began to study painting at The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, Philadelphia, graduating in 1981. I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, in 1993.
    Seeing a painting develop is what draws me to the studio. I love the physical and emotional qualities of oil paint, along with the day-to-day process of painting. I divide my time between NYC and Rehoboth Beach, DE. From there I participate in juried, invitational and members' shows in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware.
